Lush, deep caramel and woody, mossy oud are the mid-notes. They are followed by base notes of musk, vanilla and benzoin, an oil extracted from the styrax benzoin tree. Its aroma is reminiscent of vanilla. M. Micallef is a french perfume house launched by wife and husband martine micallef and geoffrey newman in 1997. It is located in the town of grasse, which is considered the world’s capital of perfume because of the number of perfume makers located there. Newman is the creator of this perfume, which was introduced in 2005. Newman also designed the bottle that holds the delicious micallef vanille aoud. The wide bottle features a ring of raised dots on the front, which sets off the brand’s logo, and a thick ribbon of glass, slightly curved on the cap.
